US and Copanian Forces

Copanian Commandos (33 slots)

You are a commando for the Republic of Copan; a budding democratic country who needs US support during the Copanian Civil War. This US-trained Copanian military unit, ‘1o Comando Batallion,’ was stood up under the leadership of Copanian General Atticus Guerrero in 2018. The unit originated from the Gatos Negros, 1st Battalion, 45th Light Infantry. They were reflagged as commandos after receiving extensive training in strike force, airborne and air assault operations.

Commandos are a professional and well-equipped fighting force; you will wear OD Green uniforms, modern kit (helmet and plate carriers), and use western weapons. You are also citizens of Copan allowing you to operate in civilian and enemy influenced areas under the right guise. The mission may call for you to go into town to gather intel in civilian clothing.

You will operate under the guidance of US Green Berets but make no mistake, you are part of your own military with your own chain of command. Rolling as a Commando will be challenging as you work with your US counterparts while meeting the expectations of your Copanian leadership. You will be able to go on direct action missions you helped gather intel for to see if your intel-gathering efforts bear fruit in eliminating the FARIS threat to your country.

Uniform: You will need civilian clothing to blend in with the population at times and an OD green uniform when going on combat ops as needed. You are a professional soldier working with the US forces so you will need an OD green or Ranger green top and bottom. OD green is the only camo pattern authorized for Commandos.

US PMC - PRIVATE MILITARY CONTRACTORS (30 slots)

As a defense contractor you are expected to operate in a high-risk environment providing protection for US interests to include; infrastructure, personal security details for VIPs, intelligence officials and dignitaries, and special missions as required by the US Embassy in Copan.  You will be operating on overt and covert capacity so you must be able to blend in with the local population.  The US Ambassador is currently seeking special authorizations to allow US contractors to work with the DEA, and CIA in Copan.

Contractors are expected to be seasoned veterans who can operate independently or as part of a highly synchronized team.  These positions are meant for serious MILSIM veterans who are ready to experience immersive environments and demanding scenarios in which you may not be able to just shoot your way out of the problem.

Uniform:  Defense contractor style-  civilian roughs, and your best kit- full modern plate carriers and helmets.

US Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha 4413 (Green Berets) (12 Slots)

As an SF team member, you will operate in a combat advisory role with your partner force- the Copanian Commandos. You conduct all missions with and through the Commandos. This is no easy task; it takes leadership, diplomacy and tactical skills. You are expected to lead from the front and hope they follow your advice since you are not in charge of the commandos, they are their own country’s military strike force but working together you make a very formidable force. You will have to balance Copanian leadership’s expectations and that of your own in order to accomplish the mission. You will be challenged like never before using your wits.

You will need civilian clothing to blend in with the population at times and a multicam based uniform when going on combat ops as needed. These positions are meant for Centurion veterans who are no strangers to immersive role playing; these will be the most serious and demanding challenges Centurion has ever created.

An ODA has several military occupation specialties (MOS) which can be sorted out on the planning page once enlisted. Descriptions below:

Detachment Commander (18A), Assistant Detachment Commander (180A), Operations Sergeant (18Z), Intelligence Sergeant (18F), Weapons Sergeants (18B x2),Engineer Sergeants (18C x2), Medical Sergeants (18D x2), Communications Sergeants (18E x2)

Uniform: You will need civilian clothing to blend in with the population at times and a multicam uniform when going on combat ops as needed. Refer to TACSOP for specific authorized patterns.

FARIS insurgency (60 slots)

You are a guerrilla in the Revolutionary Armed Forces for Social Equality (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias para la Igualdad Social - FARIS); an insurgent force fighting the government of Copan and the American imperialists. FARIS also operates as a proxy force for the Federation of Bolivarian States (see FEB) who is seeking greater influence in Latin America and who are staunch anti-US government. The revolutionary movement is headed by Colonel Verduga and is composed of mostly poor rural agricultural workers and disenfranchised people of Copan.

FARIS has secret units, Escuadron Rojo and Escuadron Azul, that carry out assassinations, kidnappings, extortion, counterintelligence, propaganda and sabotage. They have carried out many successful assassinations and are exceedingly good at finding moles in their organization. Their operational security is among the best in the world using some of the finest and most modern Russian made encrypting devices. You cannot just enlist in these elite units, you are hand selected for special missions and if successful, may be allowed to join their secretive ranks.

As a guerrilla fighter you are poorly equipped, using Eastern weapons and load bearing equipment such as LBEs and chest racks (no body armor or helmets). FARIS fighters often wear an assortment of green based uniforms to blend into the jungle and wear civilian clothing to disappear among the population when going underground or conducting special operations. Insurgents are the underdog and do what they can to carry on their fight using use every tool at their disposal in order to defeat their much stronger adversaries. Fighting fair is not in their repertoire.

Uniform: You will need civilian clothing to blend in with the population at times and a green based mixed uniform for when fighting as a unit on combat ops. Refer to TACSOP for specific authorized patterns.

Los Jefes Cartel Member (15 slots)

Many Copanians live a destitute life as farm hands and day laborers.  Being in a cartel provides a very good opportunity for many and an easy choice when you live a hard life.  As a cartel member you will be part of Los Jefes who were once the largest and most powerful drug cartel in Central America.  Betrayed by Rico Rosa, a former capo in the organization, Los Jefes nearly fell after a series of damaging raids in 2019.  Rosa went on to start his own cartel, la Mano Roja, and has dominated the drug trade since.  Los Jefes have managed to claw their way to become a major rival to Rico and his cartel once again.

Unsure if FARIS is a reliable partner at this point, their success hinges on their ability to keep La Mano Roja on their heels while they take resources to regrow their empire.  Los Jefes cartel members operate in clandestine fashion preferring to outmaneuver foes than fight them head on.

Operating as a Cartel Member will be challenging as you work with your underground while meeting the expectations of your cartel leadership. You will be able to go on offensive missions to take out rival cartel members and any other threat to the empire.  You will help gather intel for FARIS to make a little side money and perhaps even use them as a tool to gain the advantage over la Mano Roja and the DEA.

Uniform: You will need civilian clothing, civilian type weapon systems and light fighting equipment.  Refer to TACSOP for specific authorized patterns.
